Workshop V 2.0
03/10/2025
The plan here is to make the space not only more pleasing to the eye but more functional so that the space can be used for more than just projects or storage at a time.
The project included replacing the tabletop providing me a smooth and stable surface to work on.
The original frame was built primarily out of reused lumber from the previous structure that existed above its place, this project required some new material as well as reworking some of the existing material.
I traded the temporary tire rack for more long term shelving in its place as i moved the tire rack from one wall to the opposing with sets of metal tire racks. Beside it there’s a storage unit which will be displayed in a separate post.
This build introduced the workshop pc into the space which allowed me to spend more time in the ideation phase of my projects in this space rather than only the execution or assembling phases.
Later the NAS followed which provides a long term file storage solution for the household, simplifying media storage across all devices regardless of operating system. It has been a genuine lifesaver.
The lighting, battery chargers, camera and garage door is all controlled by Homekit allowing the space to be interfaced with through the Homepod mini.
